Vintage David Andersen Sterling Silver Fairytale Pendant on Chain
This mid-century pendant is made from sterling silver (acid tested). It depicts a maiden with a reptile monster which I think refers to the Scandinavian folktale entitled Prince Lindworm. It has 2 concealed bales on the back and hangs on a modern 18” box link sterling silver chain. I believe the pendant originally started life as part of a panel bracelet by Norwegian maker David Andersen and it has been professionally converted to a pendant at some point (not by me!), it’s unsigned but is definitely an Andersen piece.
The pendant measures 2.5cm wide. It weighs 9 grams with the chain.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks which you’d expect no a vintage piece.
