1912 Sterling Silver Opening Letter Stamp Case Pendant
This antique pendant is made from sterling silver. It’s in the shape of a letter, with hand engraved acanthus leaves on the front and back, and an empty shield for engraving initials. The flap of the letter opens so you can pop something inside - originally it was meant to hold stamps but you could put a little note or photo in there. It has a jump ring at the top for hanging and a full English hallmark, from the Chester Assay Office, with the date letter for 1912.
Measures 3.4cm long including the jump ring and 2.4cm wide. Weighs 1.7 grams.
Condition: Fair antique condition. Has small dinks/dents on the front and back commensurate with its age. The hinge works perfectly and the flap snaps closed in a good flat position, and stays shut as it should.
