1898 Victorian 15ct Gold Fully Hallmarked Hand Engraved Ivy Leaf Cufflinks
Here I have a pair of antique cufflinks, made from hallmarked 15ct gold. Both the front and back of each cufflink are hand-engraved with a beautiful ivy and acanthus leaf design, if you look under magnification at each one you will see tiny variations in the design and the engraver’s tool marks; something you will only ever see on something which has been hand engraved by a master! Each side is connected via a short length of chain with a star shaped connector at the back. They have full English hallmarks for 15ct on every part, including the chain, from the Birmingham Assay Office, with the date letter for 1898.
The fronts measure 17mm x 12mm. Together they weigh 3.6 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No damage or repairs. Look barely worn!
