1924 Sterling Silver and Enamel Shield Fob / Pendant with Winged Horses
Here I have a sterling silver fob, hallmarked for 1924. The front features a small blue and white enamel shield in the centre, with winged horses to either side. There’s scrolled details cast around the edge and hand engraved finishing touches including a little flower at the top. It was given originally as a prize in an athletics event and the back is engraved with the details. It’s also fully hallmarked, from the Birmingham Assay Office with the date letter for 1924.
It is 2.6cm wide and with the bale ring, the total height is 4.2cm. Weighs 9.1 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
