Here I have a Georgian foiled paste buckle which could also be worn on a chain as a pendant. The back and findings are steel, the pastes are set in silver with a hand-engraved rose gold border around the centre.
Measures 4.3cm by 2.7cm. It weighs 10 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing stones, most have some surface wear but it’s only visible under a loupe. A few foils have darkened but most are also in good condition. There’s a bit of wear to the gold border at one of the point tips but again, not very noticeable. Overall it’s in lovely condition.
