Vintage Sterling Silver Midgard Snake Ouroboros Norse Necklace
This vintage necklace is made from sterling silver. The pendant features a zoomorphic snake in the centre. I believe this is the Midgard snake from Norse mythology and it’s Odin’s face at the top, making up the bale. It’s fully hallmarked on the back, from the Birmingham Assay office, with the maker’s initials AJP and the date letter for 1995. It hangs on a 19” sterling silver chain.
Measures 3.6cm by 1.8cm.
Weighs 12 grams with the chain.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
