Victorian Silver Expanding Charm Bracelet with Farm / Animal / Countryside Theme
This amazing antique charm bangle is made from solid silver. It features an expandable bangle, with ball-shaped terminals, and these balls can each be slid along the opposite arm of the bangle to make the size of the bangle larger or smaller, so it can fit most wrists. The centre of the bangle has 10 little jump rings soldered in place, each of which holds a puffy silver charm, and all of them have a farm / countryside theme.
There’s a circular disc with a beautifully detailed mill house, a sack of flower, a cat, mouse, and dog, a cow, the farmer and his wife, a dinkey, and a cream jug. All of the charms are double sided, with detail front and back. The jug is stamped “SILVER” on the handle, there are no other stamps but the bangle itself and a few random charms have been acid tested to confirm it is silver.
At its largest, the bangle is about 8.5” around the inside. It can be easily got down to 6.5” and anywhere in between! To give an indication of the size of the charms, the mill disc is 1.6cm wide and the farm is 2.2cm tall from feet to the tip of his hat.
Weighs 12.4 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No damage or repairs and all charms are in good order with no dinks. Overall it just has the usual very light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique piece.
