Vintage Sterling Silver and Hand-painted Enamel Reed Warbler Bird Pendant
This vintage pendant is made from sterling silver. It features a hand-painted enamel design on the front of a reed bird which i think is a Reed Warbler, singing it’s little heart out, next to a river. The painting is particularly good on this one, notice the little house on the other bank! The back is fully hallmarked from the Birmingham Assay Office, with the date letter for 1982. This is new old-stock and it is in unworn condition. (The first photo was taken in shade, the rest in direct sunlight)
With the bale, the total length is 3.8cm and it’s 2.2cm wide. The portrait itself is 2.9cm by 1.9cm. Weighs 8.2 grams.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition - as “new old stock” it has never been worn. No damage to the enamel. The silver just has some very light storage marks here and there.
