Antique Victorian Sterling Silver HARRIET Name Brooch with Gold Overlay

This antique brooch is made from sterling silver. The central section features a stork, which is overlaid in rose gold, standing amongst the reeds. Around the edge, the name Harriet is spelled out in individually pierced and applied letters, with silver bars between. It’s beautifully made and is stamped with a kite shaped registration mark on the back and some maker’s initials. It fastens with a c-clasp. The brooch acid tests as silver, and it dates from c. 1880.

Measures 3.2cm wide. Weighs 8.2 grams.

Condition: Very good antique condition. No damage or repairs. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item.
