Rare Antique Reverse Painted Glass Pig Charm by William Hair Haseler (Liberty & Co)

£255.00
sold out

This antique pendant features a double sided glass reverse painted pig, set within a rolled gold frame. The pig is beautifully detailed, with the same design on both sides, giving it an almost 3d affect. The frame is stamped with the maker’s initials W.H.H, for William Hair Haseler, who was partnered with Liberty & Co in the late 1890s. There’s a small jump ring at the top for hanging and this part tests as 9ct gold.

Measures 2.3cm long including the bale, 1.6cm across the widest point and 0.7cm deep. Weighs 2.3 grams.

Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The rolled gold on the frame is rubbed so the base metal below shows. The paint of the pigs themselves is excellent and the surface of glass cabochons on the front and back are also in very good condition with no chips or damage but just the usual very light marks which you’d expect on an antique item.
