Antique Coffin Shaped Snuff or Patch Box with Cross
Here I have an antique coffin shaped snuff or patch box. It’s made of white metal (I don’t think it’s silver) with a goldtone cross on the lid. The lid hinges open and pop whatever macabre things you’d like inside!
Measures 5.0cm long, 2.9cm wide and 2.0cm high. Weighs 15.2 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The lip around the base of the coffin is a little bent in places but overall it’s in very good condition with just a little age related wear here and there but no dinks. The hinge pin has been replaced at some point, but both hinge and lid closure work well and it stays shut as it should.
