Rare Victorian Silver & Banded Agate Dog Head Fob Pendant
This is the best antique dog fob I’ve ever had! It’s made from silver and is set with a banded agate in the bottom. It’s in the shape of a dog’s head with wonderful detailing, I particularly like the texture of the fur and the stars around the collar. There are some European hallmark stamps on the fixed ring holding the bale, they’re tricky to make out but I believe it to be Austro-Hungarian and dating from around 1880. The maker’s initials are KE.
It’s 2.2cm from the top of the ears, directly down to the bottom of the agate and 3.2cm across the widest point. Weighs 6.3 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No dinks or damage. Just the usual light marks and wear which you’d expect on an antique item.
