Vintage Reverse Painted Glass Blue Butterfly Pendant
Here I have a vintage pendant featuring a glass disc with a reverse painted blue and silvery white butterfly in the centre. It’s held within a base metal frame which looks like it may once have been silver plated but this has largely worn away. The last 3 photos were taken in bright sunshine, the rest were in the shade.
Measures 2.9cm wide and about 3.8cm long including the bale ring at the top. It weighs 6 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The paint has a little wear here and there. There’s a hairline crack on the back of the glass at the top right-hand wing tip (about 2 o’clock position) which I think probably happened when the piece was set into the frame, it doesn’t go right through to the top of the disc and doesn’t affect the stability of the piece at all.
